We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as an Industrial Nurse. In this role, you will be responsible for providing healthcare services to employees within an industrial setting, ensuring their well-being, promoting health and safety practices, and addressing medical concerns promptly and effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, particularly in occupational health and safety, with a focus on prevention, intervention, and treatment of work-related injuries and illnesses.

  • Healthcare Services: Provide comprehensive nursing care to employees in an industrial environment, including assessment, treatment, and management of injuries, illnesses, and health concerns.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies within the workplace, including administering first aid, CPR, and other life-saving interventions as necessary.
  • Health Promotion and Education: Develop and implement health promotion programs and initiatives to enhance employee well-being and foster a culture of health and safety within the workplace.
  • Occupational Health and Safety: Collaborate with occupational health and safety teams to identify workplace hazards, assess risks, and develop strategies to mitigate potential health and safety issues.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all employee encounters, including injuries, treatments, and follow-up care. Prepare reports on health trends, incidents, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Case Management: Coordinate care for employees with work-related injuries or illnesses, including facilitating referrals to specialists, scheduling appointments, and monitoring progress.
  • Health Screening: Conduct pre-employment health screenings, as well as periodic health assessments and screenings to monitor employee health status and identify any potential risks or concerns.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant healthcare regulations, industry standards, and company policies related to occupational health and safety.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, safety professionals, and human resources personnel, to promote a multidisciplinary approach to employee health and safety.

  • Valid license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) issued by the state board of nursing.
  • Previous experience in occupational health nursing or a related field preferred.
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive medical information with discretion.
  • CPR and first aid certification required.
  • Experience with electronic health record systems preferred.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts and respond to medical emergencies outside of regular working hours if needed.
