The Machine Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of various machinery used in the production process. The operator ensures that all machinery operates efficiently and adheres to safety and quality standards. The role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Setup and Operation:
- Set up machinery according to specifications and production schedules.
- Operate various types of machinery, including but not limited to CNC machines, lathes, mills, and presses.
- Adjust machine settings to optimize performance and ensure product quality.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues, making minor repairs as needed.
- Report major mechanical problems to maintenance staff or supervisor.
Quality Control:
- Conduct regular inspections of products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Monitor machine performance and product output, making adjustments as necessary.
- Record and report production data, including output levels, downtime, and quality metrics.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
