Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our 2nd shift team. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on equipment, machinery, and facilities to ensure safe and efficient operations. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, technical knowledge, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment, machinery, and building systems.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and facility-related issues; repair or replace parts as needed.
Inspect and test equipment regularly to identify potential problems and ensure optimal performance.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimize downtime.
Assist with installation, setup, and modifications of equipment and systems.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, policies, and regulations.
Keep work areas clean and organized; properly store tools and materials.
Collaborate with production staff, supervisors, and outside vendors as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
Proven experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial, manufacturing, or facility environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, and climbing.
Comfortable working in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and hot or cold conditions.
