Job Description


The Sales Manager is responsible for driving new business growth and expanding existing client relationships. Territory includes Greene, Washington, Sullivan, and Hawkins counties.This role leads sales strategy, manages day-to-day sales activity, and works closely with recruiting and operations to deliver customized solutions. The ideal candidate is a hands-on sales leader who understands the local market, values long-term partnerships, and thrives in a relationship-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to grow temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct-hire staffing accounts
  • Prospect and secure new clients through cold calling, networking, referrals, and community engagement
  • Conduct client meetings to assess workforce needs and propose tailored staffing solutions
  • Negotiate pricing, service agreements, and contract terms
  • Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets

Account Management
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for key accounts
  • Monitor client satisfaction and proactively resolve service issues
  • Identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts

Team Leadership & Collaboration
  • Lead, coach, and motivate sales staff 
  • Collaborate closely with recruiters to ensure client expectations are met
  • Provide market feedback to leadership regarding client trends, pricing, and competitor activity

Market & Community Engagement
  • Represent the agency at local networking events, job fairs, and chamber or industry meetings
  • Maintain strong knowledge of local labor market conditions and industry trends
  • Promote the agency’s brand and reputation within the community

Reporting & Administration
  • Track sales activity, pipeline, and performance metrics
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for ownership/leadership
  • Maintain accurate CRM and client documentation

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of sales experience, preferably in staffing, recruiting, or B2B services
  • Prior leadership or sales management experience strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Knowledge of staffing models (temporary, temp-to-hire, direct hire) preferred
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a small team
  • Proficient with CRM systems and Microsoft Office

  • Competitive base salary plus commission/bonus structure/$60,000-$100,000/yr
