The Slitter Machine Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of slitting machines used to cut materials into specific widths. The operator ensures the machine runs efficiently, producing high-quality materials that meet company standards. This role requires precision, mechanical aptitude, and adherence to safety and quality guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Setup and Operation:
- Set up slitter machine according to work orders, including loading master rolls and adjusting settings.
- Operate the slitter machine to cut materials into specified widths and lengths.
- Monitor machine operation to ensure consistent and high-quality output.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Perform routine maintenance on slitter machine, such as cleaning and lubrication.
- Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues, performing minor repairs as needed.
- Report major mechanical problems to the maintenance team or supervisor.
Quality Control:
- Conduct regular inspections of slit materials to ensure they meet quality specifications.
- Measure and test materials using calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools.
- Document production data, including output levels, quality metrics, and downtime.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

- Qualifications:
